I am glad they outsmarted the thief anyway..

mass is a surprise, but maine...we are lucky to get diesel gas, and corn oil gas, and whatever else no one burns.

A surprise, yes. But since the Valdez incident Exxon Mobil has been down sizing. They have no ships. They hire other companies to transport the crude oil. I will only burn two brands, Shell and Irving. And this comes from two specific places. 10% ethanol does suck, I treat with K100 a few times a year. Keeps me at 30 mpg.

Well it mentions that some Mobil's will still be around, but will be using some no-name brand of gasoline.

And what's wrong with 10% ethanol? You guys should be used to it by now -- soon you will be seeing 20%. Hell, I wish we had E85 up here.

I'm a firm believer in "gas is gas".

*Can o' worms = Open*

Let the flames begin lol.

The problem I have with ethanol is it is prone to separating from the gasoline and mixing with any water that happens to be in the system. This creates alcohol which burns hotter. Ethanol has actually been found to be worse for the environment then gasoline. Many of us own cars which do not like ethanol. It is even worse when you get to a carburated engine. I have cleaned my card on my wheeler more in the past 2 years then I can even count. It also can burn up a 2-stroke in a split second. When I could still get straight gasoline I got 3 or 4 more mpg then I do with 10% ethanol.

it only seperates if you let it sit for extended periods of time, this is why it kill atvs/sleds and boats....etc....casual use. youll never even know you're burning ethanol if you drive consistently.

I love shell. Every other place for same amt of cash at same price i get less gass.

Truth ^

While I love the "idea" of Ethanol being it is an American product, I don't like that EVERY GALLON is subsidized by the good old government 3 (three) times! Uncle Sam pays farmers to grow corn for Ethanol, the refineries to make Ethanol, and the retail stations to sell Ethanol.

Exxon\Mobil is NOT hurting. Just a few years ago during the price spikes, Exxon\Mobil recorded the highest quarterly profit earnings ...EVAR, ....TWICE !

Gawd, I hate the commodities markets. Inflation in this country starts at the exchange market with "speculation" (aka greed). How else can crude rise from $25 a barrel to over $100 a barrel with literally no changes in supply or demand?
