So have any of you guys bought a house this year and amended there 08 return to get the credit early? Im closing this week and I want that money asap. Im just curious how it all works and how quickly I will get it.

 
You will get it with your taxes when you file next year. You are definitly going to want a tax prepairer to do you taxes this year.

Where did you end up getting a house?

 
Ive heard you can amend your last years tax return and get your money in a few weeks. Im buying a place in sanford.

 
All I know is what we did, nobody mentioned that we could get the money sooner. Maybe the new program has different rules?

Yea I am. Hopefully closing on the first but there is a problem clearing the deed.
