Front Console Options

N/A All The Way!!
So I recently bought a front console storage bin and installed her today as you can see in the pictures. The thing is that the new bits don't exactly match the color of the rest of my console. I know that some folks here have painted their silver console various colors and I was thinking about doing mine in a matte black (think S204). What is the best product for this and what kind of prep should I do?

everyone is using plasti-dip. the problem that i'd see using plasti-dip is that it's basically a coating, not really paint. the texture is more rubberized but i feel after a bit of wear it will start scratching and stripping off. if i were to do it i think i'd use satin black rattle can. plastic specific, like fusion

Yeah...I'll admit that I was wrong and I appreciate the great deal. I did have to get a little crafty with the power drill, but it worked out pretty well. Not perfectly lined up, but pretty good for a novice I would say.

 
Thanks man. I like it a lot and am looking forward to painting it but neither Lowes or Home Depot has the Krylon Fusion paint so I picked up some Rustoleum pastic spray in Matte Black. I tested the paint and my painting skills on the covers for my hellas and things turned out alright. Hopefully I can get the console done next weekend.

 
i took my center console out and got some plastic specific spray paint. i completely disassembled everything then sanded and painted it in a really warm area and it has help up really well like so well that it even surprised me when i did it i figured i would be doing touch ups but i havnt seen any problems with it just make sure u do tons of very thin coats and that it dries fully befor u put it back and it will hold
