ok, here is the story i want to check the fuel pressure in my car because im getting no gas. so what tool do i need and how do i use it?

You've already checked the fuel filter by this point, right? Dirty filter would seriously impede flow.

the fuel gauge you need looks like a boost gauge, but it reads to 100psi. carb'd cars have gauges that go to 15psi. the easiest way is to get that and a tee fitting. cut the line between your fuel filter and the motor and put the tee in there. you'll probably need two barb'd fittings and a the third fitting for the tee goes to the gauge.

if your car is 05+ then cutting one of those lines is a grandma because they're not easy to replace, if its 04 or older then you can just get a new piece of 100psi line at the hardware store.

you can also take the fuel return line off the motor and prime the motor. if gas shoots out the return line, you've got gas. the return line is the one that isn't connected to the filter, and isn't the one that just has fuel vapor in it.

that suggestions is a lot cheaper and easier than the gauge.

and you dont need a list for the pump, just remove the rear seat foam and put up the access cover. the whole job takes a 14mm, 10mm, and phillips head i believe.

make sure it isn't the fuel pump relay. we dnf'ed a rally due to that stupid $15 part!

it's up under dash near the fuse panel.

you can tell if it's working or not...turn key to ON position but not to start. listen real carefully...if you hear relay click, you're OK. If not, you have probly located your "no fuel" issue.

well its a not subaru, well i wish it was, its a escort........ yep an escort..... P.O.S. edition lol

isn't that a carb. motor

some of the first escorts i think came with mechanical fuel pumps which aren't in the tank
