Gas smell

Found it once I got home and out of my uniform. One of the short rubber fuel hoses up front under a bracket is leaking. grandma of a place to get to and I have no garage so looks like I find a cheap place to take.

Thanks. Adam

You cut the stock turbo inlet hose out and remove the leaky line. Cut the little metal strap holding the 2 steel lines that lead to the injectors. File the nub that is left on the steel line. Take a longer piece of 5/16" fuel injection hose and slide it on the rear section of line. Then pull it back and slide it up over the nub on the front line. Clamp the front part of the line past the nub, just before the bend. Then install a new squishy silicone inlet hose you bought off E-Bay for $100. No need to remove the intake this way. I did mine in about 1 hour, learning as I went.

So, at Patriot it may be tough if they don't have, or want to deal, with the silicone hose. But it fixes the problem for a hellofa lot less time and headache.

thanks

we dont do too many of those smelly wrxs anymore. Guess I gotta do it the old fashioned way, which isn't bad for me, sux for the person paying for it.
