This isn't vwvortexobligatory cheap suspension response: "cut dem springz"
or you could get ricelands.
How low will that go? My Fozzie right now has probably 3-4" before it would hit on the inside of the fender well, but only 2" from the fender lip to tread of tire. I drive it easy now and usually only me in it and want to go lower... On Wrx struts already, wagon rears. Smaller winter tires so drifting this winter and rubbing won't be an issue.Aftermarket lowering springs for a wrx
Find the difference in strut assembly length between a complete fozz assembly and a complete wrx assembly, find lowering springs you want, then add the drop in spring height to how much shorter the wrx assembly is over the fozz. How low will that go? Sorry if this counts as hijacking a thread.. Just looking to expand on what's here...
Ohh, I got ya. Ill try figuring that out. ThanksFind the difference in strut assembly length between a complete fozz assembly and a complete wrx assembly, find lowering springs you want, then add the drop in spring height to how much shorter the wrx assembly is over the fozz.
For example, when i lowered my obxt I used lgt struts and lowering springs. Lgt struts are about 1.5" shorter than outback ones, and the lowering springs were -1.6 front and 1.8 rear
Therefore I had a drop of 3.1 front and 3.3 inches in the rear.
Wow that looks very similar to mine but my wheels are gunmetal. They look about similar heights right now.I recently lowered mine with sti springs and tophats with wrx struts. It is pretty much exactly how I want it and I don't have the saggy butt that people sometimes get when lowering a fozz
I have smaller winter ones now, studdeds. I get your point tho, I'm thinking ill just throw on the wagon rears (still haven't haha) and run it. Forget lowering it because I'm sure ill smash it up on the dirt driveRemember that smaller winter tires will lower it too. Those winterforce tires are the same diameter as your 17s with tires. Don't forget that your exhaust hangs low and other stuff can get crunched too. "Drive it easy" yeah right! Drive it like it was made to be driven.
