So I am giving a 7min. presentation to my seminar class about the STI gonna be great. Anybody have any not well known facts about the STI that I can add to my presentation, or anything that might be cool to share. Going to speak about (1) the origin of the STI (2) specifications of the 04-07 years (3) the market it appeals to and (4) gonna try and fit the new commecial for the legacy in some how cause it is awesome. I present next Monday the 21st of September

Any and all comments appreciated!

Isn't school work more fun when its on something you're passionate about? Its the topic I wrote my thesis on (personal relevance in assignments, not Subarus)! Have a good time with it man!

Thanks for the input everyone. I realized that 7min. is nothing for a decent presentation so this is what I put in the PowerPoint:

**The powerpoints are teacher's favorite style, it is a supplement contains only titles not in depth information I have to memorize that**

Slide 1:

Origins

a.) First introduced to the United States in 2004

b.) Originally developed for the WRC

c.) STI- Subaru Tecnica International

Slide 2:

Specifications

a.) 2.5liter turbocharged Boxer engine

b.) Symmetrical AWD

c.) 305hp. (Stat's from 08 model year)

d.) High-performance sport-tuned 4-wheel independent suspension.

Front: Inverted-strut-type with aluminum-alloy lower L-arm.

Rear: Double wishbone.

Front and rear stabilizer bars.

Slide 3:

Target Market

a.) Marketed to the Performance Enthusiast

b.) 2008 commercial with Pastrana messing around with WRX (and yes I know it is a WRX NOT WRX STI)

Everything here correct? Anything that I might add????

id throw in the new commercial that shows the guy driving the base impreza and drives by a bunch of enthusiast to show the culture based around these cars

if to speak of sti as a fan club, or whatever your doing. mentioning the past and some of the facts of subarus pioneering. the company has been attempted to be buried for along long time. the drivetrain is that unique in perfect math. Or something to that effect. One could could go back to 1973 and find the first 3 main boxers as SCCA champions with dual carbed intakes and legend sounds never to mimick. The mid 80s is the tragedy to me as an engine/drivetrain freak, the dual range drivetrains and the disappearing act on perfections...why? because subaru wias 2 millimeters way from world champions back then. they even back shelfed the cars in the safari rally (5000 km race)..not one mention on tv coverage, all while finishing 10th place. Why? the b rated carzy mid engined cars, never to see real world reality go the focus. A very sad turning point for all production cars in these tough races. It could have led to the recent decision for subaru to stay in the PWRC (production being the key word) because the rules are too wild for oe cars to prove themself. there is many reasons for STI, the powerful reasons started many years ago.

and here is some future opinion based on the facts:

STI Bridging for a more overhead (parts/service)needs to keep an engine the same for more than they are, simplifying like the 2.0 of the ej world, and better yet, showing the world, the 3 main is in fact THE runted champion. this part is probably not good for a seminar, but history is.

At least mention the past as the real stepping stone and beatings of a humble company with a perfection.over and over and over...
