good Muffler shop near portland

so im just about to cave and just buy a universal can and have it fabed up to fit my car. any idea who around here could fab that up for me?

 
I have not confirmed but Shorty was telling me the other day that Meineke in Auburn will cut, weld and install a WRX/Sti muffla to our RS's for $40. If you confirm that before me LMK please

 
I've had my car just about a year before i got the STi exhaust. Have patience. Don't rice a melon shooter

mike at patriot used to work at minieki somewhere near there, biddeford?, and he says they did a lot of custom stuff from cheapo customer request muffs to full hot rod header backs. They have access to aluminized, mild steel, and stainless, with some items special order but inbound within a day or so. Stop by Patriot and talk to mike the big guy about it.

 
Impreza05 did just that to his. It sounds fantastic!

Meineke in Auburn is usually like $40 installed, but the stores are privately owned. Other stores may not be as cheap.

 
Stop in at portland speed and ask the old guy. He recommended a custom place a while back. I can't remember who it was tho.

 
Indeed had my STi axelback installed at Meineke in Auburn today. I was there a total of 45 minutes. 15 waiting to get in. I had taken the mid pipe with me just in case. They held it up and said..."that doesn't fit". That started to worry me, but I talked to them and said that it would be a bit of a "custom" install, but Shorty had recommended their expertise. And I didn't really need the mid pipe. Then I think they kinda liked doing something slightly out of the ordinary. Two guys jumped on it cut the bolts, welded a different flange at the proper angle on the STi and hung it. Cost me $49.94, three hours driving down and back. I would have spent more time on it in my driveway and probably gotten frustrated trying to chase down a flange, get someone to weld it, etc.

I like the sound. It's just about right for an oldfart like me 8)

 
good to hear you got it all installed. can't wait to hear it!

im still on the fence if i want to put a mangaflow on it or try and find a sti or a greddy
