Looking for a place to get some wheels painted, preferably in western Maine or NH. Any suggestions? I know I could do it myself, but I'd rather pay someone else to do a good job.

sorry im no help for a place in that area. might try powdercoating. its a little more durable.

what color are they changing to?

I know a guy who comes to you...at least in Maine he does. He also goes to many of the dealerships and paints/repairs wheels. His contact info "Alloy Wheel Repair" Kerry Staples 207-205-1261.

about $30 should buy you all the stuff you need to prep and paint your wheels yourself.... dont pay for it to be done. there is gradification to be had when you do something yourself.

that's my favorite part of doing a mod..... saying i did it.

if you want help let me know. only issue i can see with it is your either going to be without your car for a couple days (drying time) or you need to find some other wheels to drive around on for a day or so.

Yes I agree. Next Thursday I am leaving for Florida for a week so it could possibly get done then?

yah just pull the wheels..... get the car sitting safely on blocks. and get them painted the day before you leave. then remount when you get home.

i had time with the wheels i painted cause i had another set to use. so i took a couple days to sand and prep (i had some curb rash to sand out) but count on a full day to do it. hope for some warm sun to help with dry time.

performance coatings is out by the auburn airport.. they do fantastic work and will even prep the wheels for you...
