Gorham sucks

My son's and I have just started enjoying ourselves, then Gorham puts the brakes on AFTER they allow the guy to start up business. We're bummed because this was the only true real woods/scenerio spot near us.

 
that sucks.. I didn't realize that there was a place for woods ball other than the one in standish (don't know if it is still there)

 
The town is also planning on builnding an asphalt quarry/plant here. Joy! I wonder where I can move, be out in the twigs, and where civilization wont follow me...*sigh*

 
Ever been by Blue Rock in Westbrook when their asphalf plant is all fired up? Stinks bad for many miles away, for a long time. Towners should be fighting that.

The one in Standish is still there but its not the same, though, I haven't been there. The '51' attendees all said that Field 51 was way better, bigger, more scenerio-ish. They were going to host a national tournament. I guess not now. The nearest scenerio tourny is PA or MI. The ME NH kids wont get to play any real live tournys anytime soon.
 
Update:

Gorham has eased up on the business requirements they insisted on after they gave the go ahead on different requirements. So my fav paintball place is rockin again, albeit a limited schedule.

 
if someone will let me borrow a marker i'm game. i still want that A5 but it's just not in the budget

You can get a 98 pretty affordably. They are great markers. played with one in college for a while before I got my WGP.

 
This place in Gorham, Feild 51, is letting folks play for free on certain days, bring your own paint, and you can rent a Tippman 98 for $10 for all day. This weekend is invasion of the Borg, but I'm going to be in NH Sunday. Maybe me and the boys will hit it the next open field day. Last time the 3 of us chewed up 4,000 round in less than 2 1/2 hours. Cheap paint at Wal-mart is $38/case. There is cheaper paint but it often breaks inside your gun and makes a mess.
