Wow! It has been a while since our last update, and we like to keep you informed with whats going on. A lot has changed!
The move to new forum software and new server has been great. Stability and functionality has improved tremendously. Mainely Subarus has been fully optimized for speed. We hope that everything is working well for you. In the case that you notice a problem or slowdown, a ticket system has been added. On the navigation bar there is a tab called “Tickets System”. There you will be able to report any problems you may encounter.
The most recent addition is the homepage. We have brought it back. The homepage will be your source for Subaru news and club news and events. The new homepage is much easier to navigate and less cluttered. We think that you will enjoy the new homepage.
A new sub-forum has been added to the forum "Mainely Subarus News, Events, and Announcements" called Suggestions and Feedback . We are always looking to improve your forum experience.
You may have noticed that we have changed the name of paid memberships. VIP Membership is now known as Premium Membership. We think this makes things clearer.
Last but not least, we recently decided to remove all ads completely for all members. No ads = fast load times and no annoyances.
The downside with the removal of the ads come’s the loss of income.
Here's where you come in. This awesome wonderful site has and will always have monthly operating costs. In the past we haven't had a problem with these, but with the removal of ads, the lack of people buying merchandise or premium memberships, and not having 50/50 raffles at the meets has made it tough for us to keep up recently.
What can you do to help?
There is now a new donation feature on the forum main page. You can donate with your name OR donate anonymously. This money is to keep the site going. The current goal is $360, the base cost for this sites hosting. Important fact: If every active member donated just $2, it would make a huge difference in lowering operating costs, covering a huge chunk of hosting costs. No donation is too small!
Also, at the monthly meets we'll also be bringing back the 50/50 raffle. 50% of the cash goes to the winner of the raffle, 50% goes to the club to keep the site going. Doing these things will not only keep the site online, but ad free!
And finally, for 1 week only we will be cutting Premium Memberships in half! Instead of $15/yr it is now $7.50/yr! That’s the lowest price we have ever offered for a Premium Membership! Get yours now before it goes back up!
