So in case anyone notice I haven't been around lately (I'm sure no one has). I've been enjoying some time off with my family that live in southern California. I left Maine a few days ago, and have been soaking up the sun ever since.

I will be heading out in a couple days going to the Hoover Dam. We will be embarking on a 2 day (~20mile) camping/kayaking trip down the Colorado River. The veiws should be outstanding! I will try to update you guys with some pictures when I get back.

The past couple days have been filled with some retail therapy (shopping), Disney Land, and cathing up with family. I have a another 2 weeks here, and looking forward to every minute. See you all later, and I will try to check in when I can.

Hope you guys have fun at the May meet. Where are you guys having it???

 
Sounds like a nice vacation. My mom just left today to do some Kayaking down some river near Arizona. Have fun.

Maine is going to be beautiful this weekend.

They all live south of LA. Right now Im staying in Orange County in a town call Tustin. It's very close to Huntington beach, Anaheim area.

Yesterday I took a road trip into down town LA and got some really good mexican food down on Olvera Street. Then we continued on to Universal studios and walked down the "Universal City Walk". It's a HUGE outdoor shopping area, and its downright beautiful. Its right next to the Universal Studios theme park and studios where they actually film some movies. I got a little retail therapy in and helped out the economy.

Stay tuned for the pictures. I will be heading out to the Colorado river for a couple days, but when I get back I will try to update you all with some pics.

Sounds like a fun trip. While you're in socal I'm just in PA... haha

 
A must see for scenery is the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) Drive over to Venice Beach and stop there to check out the boardwalk, then drive down the PCH to the Santa Monica Pier. After that keep heading up the PCH into Malibu, its amazing there. Then if your up to it take an awesome drive up Malibu Canyon Rd or even Topanga Canyon to the 101 and head back into Hollywood. If you had the subie i would give ya some mapped out canyon drives, for some spirited driving

Oh and you MUST have some In and Out burgers with a shake!!! mmmmMMMMMmmm

In and Out is the greatest fast food joint, ever. There chocolate shakes are amazing.
