OK guys. so here's the deal......I know that running HID's in the OEM headlights is taboo from everything ive read so far. but with that said, is everyone hear running JDM projectors? or do some of you have HIDs in your bugeye? Is this a horrible idea? Flame on.....

Most of us believe putting hids in a car with no projectors is pretty ricey. Everyone and there mom has them on there car now so make sure its done right.

thanks man, that's what i figured.......Is there a reasonable affordable option as far as projectors go? or am I pretty much looking at four bills a side?

I have the JDM non-HID projectors for my 02 WRX. I'm still running just SilverStar halogen bulbs. I've considered getting HIDs for them, but that's sorta on the back burner right now. Anyway, it's a REALLY bad idea to run an HID kit in the stock USDM Bugeye headlights. The glare will be absolutely horrendous. Your best bet is to find some JDM/EDM projectors, OR, send your current stock USDM lights into http://www.lightwerkz.net and they can retrofit them with some nice TSX or S2000 projectors.

^if you can find a regular set of USDM headlights you could try to retrofit HIDs yourself but even then for the price i think you're going to be over your budget. Even if you do end up with JDM projectors they're going to be aimed for RHD cars and the light will shine over at oncoming drivers based on aiming and cutoff etc etc (not good). Would that be the end of the world.......... no, Is it the best idea........ unfortunately also no.

I know not the answer you want to hear but probably your best bet is the site ryan suggested if you really want HIDs.

^Forgot to mention the beam pattern on the JDM's, thanks. If you want correct LHD beam pattern, look for a set of the EDM projectors. But you can always retrofit the JDM projectors for LHD as well.

But, it will be pricey either way.
