So, not overnight, I don't think, but in a pretty rapid time frame (maybe a week or two) I've lost a little under a 100 miles to each tank of gas...

(I usually get like 285-300 miles a tank, and right now i'm filling up right around 200miles)

I haven't changed my driving style, or been doing anything different...

Nothing seems out of place... no power losses or anything like that.

I do need to get my new tires mounted and have an alignment done, but that wouldn't knock that much off.

Anyone know what could be the cause of this!?

Thanks in advance, guys!

bad gas do you fuel up at the same place everytime.that's the only way i loss that much mpg

i try to stick to mobil, exxon 93 octane cause getty, citgo, gibbs and others seem to have a cheap or poor grade of high test

Always mobile or shell...

I did however toss an intake on the car for a day or two, but then decided to put oem back on (wanted the "whoosh" sound to cure my "I haven't modded anything in a while, blues," but it didn't work.)

But I didn't put the MAF in wrong or anything (wouldn't run if I did.)

Could a dirty MAF or something cause that??? How would I clean it safely?

1. Diry air filter.

2. Fouled spark plugs.

3. Bad front 02 sensor. Reads lean richens up fueling.

4. Winter gas... It has been coming in since late Aug. and it seems that the new stuff (from Mobil stations at least) is an ethanol blend. This will cause your car to run a bit (~10% richer) and can cause a significant drop in mileage. My car recently threw a CEL due to its fuel trims becoming too extreme after my last fill up. My fuel trims went from ~0 to ~11, which means my car has been adding ~11% more gas vs the summer mix. If this is the case your car would actually feel a little faster until it leveled out and then feel normal.

I to have noticed the drop in fuel mileage by 2-3 mpg in the last few weeks. Fill up at the same station. I'm down to 25 to 26mpg from 30. Damm cheap gas.

I just got back from Rhode Island... took the new Brokeback down there and it only got about 23mpg. BOoo....
Hell Mike that thing is not even broke backed in yet. Wait till about 5000 miles or so that will be a better idea on the 2.5 motor.
