how good is our ej20 after 150k

Pretty much as the title says im looking to hand the keys of my rs to my dad and possibly pick up an 02-03 rex but most are around 120-140k in milage At that stage in the ej's life is it worth picking one up or looking else where, im trying to get a car for around 250 - 275 per month any thoughts

 
Exactly Eckjay. That things a beaut.

Taken care of, these engines last a long time. Evan and Mighty have mega miles on theirs. You take a chance with any used car purchase, just remember that.

 
There are a handful around for 12-13k that are in the 60-70k mile range. I considered going this route before I picked up my 07.

 
you can always do what i did, buy a high mileage one, pay it off while the motor still runs good, then put together a built motor to replace the high milage one. use the money you saved on buying a high milage car to pay for the performance motor.

 
162,000 on my 02 and still purrs like a kitten..ok more like a kitten/snake...

02 running fine with close to 200k on it. take care of it and dont fall behind in maintenance. that's the key.
