I give up, How do I pull the rear diff?

pull both rear axles
disconnect rear propshaft from diff input
unbolt diff carrier ass'y
unbolt diff from rear subframe
(catch it quick diff will fall out now!)

As directed above.
Pullin the axles might be the hard part. You wont have enough room, especially if your control arms bolts are siezed. If you can pop them from the diff you will need to lower diff and roll it on its side to get one axle out, that will give you room to move it sideways to get the other out. Kind of a juggling act, but doable.

good point about the R control arm bolts, they can be a total PITA on a car that's been together for several years.
nice tip Inski about rolling diff to get the xles out
it's easy on the rally car, for some reason it gets tooken apart enough so there are (almost) never any stuck bolts. (he said hopefully)
