I had uh, a little champagne...

Yeah, they need to come out with more or just air that commercial less. I have tried to watch less and less tv in the past couple years. I have been DVRing most shows that I watch and then I have 0 commercials! HECK YEAH!

I have never seen this commercial. I tried youtubing it but couldn't find it

it does get old very quickly as previously mentioned, they need different ones to really drive home the point, but a dead horse can only be beat so many times before attention/interest is completely lost.

We all know, don't drink and drive!

now who doesn't love these commercials!

i think one of those are also playing in the cinemagic's. so hilarious. however, has anyone seen the commercials for this place? http://www.otmotorsales.com/

They play before the movies at cinemagic and are BRUTAL. it's basically the owner talking about the business in his own kitchen, while his wife sits next to him and nods. aren't there people who make commercials for a living? how do they not get hired for a job like that?

The problem comes with the stubbornness of the client. Rule of thumb is you never let your client be in the commercial, but some of them are stubborn as **** and insist they be in it. Other times people get someone who sucks or some highschool kid to make it. Just because you have a degree doesn't mean you're not a complete idiot.

The interesting thing is, while people find the Bangor Car Care one annoying, we all know about it and know about his dealership. Successful? That's for the guys wallet to judge.

oh yeah for the bangor car care ads they serve their purpose. dan you NEED to check out a movie in the cinemagic for the ads before hand. check out the difference between one for prime, which is geared for that particular setting, and the ostmotorsales which is just laughable

I haven't been to the theatre in ages, but I'll be seeing avatar soon so I'll make sure to look for it.

I did an internship this summer and have studied advertising in school, which is why all this stuff interests me.

MAKE SURE YOU SEE AVATAR IMAX 3D! SO good!

+1. I saw it first in regular 3D at cinemagic in saco and I thought it was amazing. Watched it next in 2D to fill in any gaps or things I missed the first time. Last I saw it in (Digital

) IMAX at Saco. We got there right as the previews ended, so we got bad seats (Me and friends in the very front row, at least we were center, and my dad and brother got near-center at row 3 or 4). Get there as early as you can and take the middle seats in the first row in the upper section (i.e. not one of the bottom 5-rows that are in their own section).

The image was distorted being that close (specifically the faces when they filled a lot of the screen, they looked like flattened pyramids (/ )) but after 15 minutes my eyes or brain adjusted for it.

i'm not sure i get the "digital

" reference. were you unhappy seeing it in digital?

It's the type of IMAX theater. Digital is the newest, and lowest quality IMAX (not the same resolution, not the same projector). Potentially there's more information that can be stored digitally, but the digital copies are slightly lower quality to make it easier to distribute, and the projectors can't do full IMAX resolution anyway.

Here's a map. Key at the bottom of the main page.

Digital IMAX is still better than a standard theater, its just not the "real" thing.

i knew what digital was, i just assumed it was better. how is a digital projector not better than a regular projector?
