So I finally got my K&N Typhoon short ram intake today!! And of course, I installed it. I love it. It sounds great, lots of turbo and blow off sound:banana:!! I also definitely noticed a nice pick up too. A lot smoother acceleration, and it seems to spool faster as well. Can't wait to do my next mod!!

I plan on going stage 2 as soon as possible. I have to get a dp and then get a tune. But it goes great with no issues like it is.

 
yeah i just put in a k&n drop in filter today before i get my car tunes thursday. tiny bit of get up and go difference but a huge difference in the boost curve so much smoother and haven't even gotten a tune yet K&N FTW

 
It was my understanding that the factory airboxes were good for 350-375hp. Is the Typhoon something that is mostly for sound or is there dyno tests that prove HP gains?

that i for our newer model cars. like i said above i just put in a k&n drop in with stock air box. i actually talked to xpt wich is wer eim egttign my stage 1 map and they said they got better results with the stock air box and new filter as opposed to a aem cai . they said the stock box had a much smoother boost curve and power band

 
I like mine a lot because of the sound, but I did definitely noticed a difference in power, and like stated above, seems to be smoother as well.
