I need a LOVING engine

Does it have EGR?

I'd assume dual port heads?

Fortunately I still have my dual port header.

im going to be buying a 96 legacy wagon and I dont need the engine your welcome to come grab it. has like 180k on it, runs fine my co worker just for a forester XT and the body on her legacy was rotted out so no sticker. everything else is good im using it as a parts car for my legacy. come pull it and ill give you a deal.

 
I have a 98 2.2 from a impreza with 130k on it already pulled I will trade you for the xt wheels and $100

Thanks for all the inputs! I'm assimilating all my options, and this weekend I'll come to a conclusion and work it out from there.

 
Depends, if I get an engine on Monday, which is totally possible. I'd be on the road early Tuesday morning. Which wouldn't really cramp me up too bad. OR, I might just drive the GL down. Which, it would make it no doubt.

Then when I have the money do something I've always wanted to do... H6 swap...

 
So I'm going to drive the GL.

I don't want a used engine really, not saying you're trying to sell me a bad engine. Just used engines can be a crapshoot.

When I get my hands back on the legacy, whether I have it trailered down or I move back to maine I'm going to H6 it. haha. Who's got an h6
