I want a red "R"

I have a Outback 3.0R, and I think it would look good (but understated) to color the "R" red. Anyone done such a thing? I really want to color just the middle of the letter, so that there's a rim of chrome around the edge.

Any creative ideas would be appreciated.

In the alternative, do you have any suggestions on where to get a "factory" red "R"?

paint sharpies or whatever, try and scratch the surface to make sure the paint will adhere. I redid my 2.5rs badge and it looks really good. DO IT!!

R

You're welcome!

Rip one off a nissan. lol Just go out and buy one of those paint pens if you can try and take it off and float the paint in it for a factory like finish.

^ I did that on the emblems on my grand am (first car) I just saw it a year ago, six years later and its a bit faded, but still there

I used specially cut reflective vinyl on my old 97 Grand Am GT badges

, its held up for 8 years so far. There are websites that sell the overlays for just a few dollars and shipping.

I can get scraps of sign material at work if I need to. there is a lot of vinyl that gets wasted making a stop sign
