So I have a 96 brighton but i was told i have to spend 1500 to get it inpected so I must just buy a new one.. so anyone have any imprezas for sale??

yeah, that doesn't sound right. Who told you that? And what did they say need to be replaced?

haha hey Lobstah,
I need balljoints, struts, window regulator, springs, wheel hub, tires, brakes, rotors, and exhuast... well I got the springs, ball joints and struts with the labhor for $495.. I put on my own 05 sti exhaust so that's taken care off. The rest I am going to do myself when I need too.. I know my brakes are fine so I guess I will be alset. I am going to try to get a sticker on it tomorrow.

Balljoints and exhaust - maybe, window regulator - ????, but brakes and rotors - those are not that old, i compeletely rebuild them with OEM parts. SO you haven't driven it around since you bought it?

hey lobstah,
it's my daily driver, but ya the window just randomly fell off the track and all the way down in the door, I took the panel off and the regulator was all in peices lol. I found a complete door for it for 40 bucks so that's no big deal.. What other stuff did you do to it.. I noticed that there are a lot of tags under the hood but are too dirty to read, what were those for?.

Those were from the previous owner, i just decided to keep them on there.
As far as i remember you can replace just the regulator in the door. I take it you're talking about drivers side window. That thing gave me problems before, but i took it apart and put it back on track, and it worked just fine for a year, before i sold it to ya. The car is pretty much bone stock. I couldn't justify spending money on 1.8
Did you get it inspected? LMK if you have any other issues with it, i'll help you get them straightened out....
