Just a quick question to those with 22t knowledge.

Would it be more difficult, or not any different to install a fmic to the motor than it would be to install a tmic?

<----- Doesn't know a damn thing... but...

Are you talking about ease of install, complexity of plumbing/tubing, or compatibility with existing setup?

You're going to have to remove your bumper & beam to get the FMIC installed, first off. Then there is the plumbing to deal with, which I'm sure you'll have to 'adjust' a kit to fit.

As for compatibility... no clue.

Yeah, I mean I know the fm is probably more work due to having to mount it behind the bumper, but I mean in terms of making it work with the 22ts intake/turbo setup

well you wouldnt lose power with a fmic, but you would increase lag a little during the times when the rpms are above the normal spool level (ie, you let off at and get back on it at 4000 rpms going through an auto-x corner, they're be an extra split second of lag because of all the extra air in the long charge pipes). it isn't really needed with your setup though, and a tmic would be easier to do, assuming you could find the right one. a usdm wrx tmic could fit snugly in if you modify it a little bit to fit between the intake mani and firewall. the other problem with that setup is finding/making the proper piping between the turbo and tmic. you dont need a fmic until you're up over 400hp.

act... ya will be ok with a small fmic and lag problems. it will increase cooling allow for more boost and make a large difference in top end power. if ya need help i am here for ya I have pt a millizian of those things in... trbo del sol bmw passat sti and a few others like my friends f250.
