These people and their LOVING loud ass bikes! One deaf assclown down the street from me is bad enough... now the new neighbor has a deaf assclown friend... I mean, I don't mind the sound of a good bike, but when it shakes the stuff in my house and scare the beejeebers out of my cats, I think that's a bit too loud.

LOL they would rather hit a tuner with a ticket than a harley.

i actually heard one retard on a harley say "its unpatriotic to ticket a harley rider"

lol

So the asshat neighbor friend went home last night... at 11pm. Fired the cookiein' thing up right outside our bedroom window. I think I was awake till 1a. >

Ok... so how do I call the cops on a guy who rolls up on a bike every now and then? The guy down the street, yaah, he lives there... but the guy outside my window?

lol, well the rule that we go by is after 10pm if ppl are being loud we go and tell them to quiet down and after a couple times it's a summons....and if it's a bike that's making the noise, he can get a ticket for "equipment used improperly"

Trust me, I've had two tickets for loud exhaust on my cars.

seph, where are you the po-po?

And how do you like that 06? I drove one at Patriot and it hasn't left my mind since.

I hate the riders who can't maintain a consistant throttle, which seems to be most of the v-twin guys with open pipes. I like a nice rumble, but when they crack the throttle every 5 seconds just so they can make the blatting noise they get at full throttle it bothers me a lot. I live 4 miles from Rt. 302 and I can hear them from my house on and off the throttle their entire trip down the road.

Reguardless of the rattle they make, look twice for bikes. I went and looked at Ninjas yesterday. Apparently folks are gobbling up Ninja 250s and Buell Blasts for their MPG. Imagine getting 70+ mpg!?!?

I work for Carrabassett Valley PD (Sugarloaf). And I love my '06...The low end is 100% better than the '02 I had, the bigger brakes feel so much better than the '02...those brakes would fade a lot! They scared me a couple times..... Also the 17's are so much better looking, esp. with the 4 pots. Needless to say, the '06 is tEh sHiznIt...

I use 2079 of Title 29-A Unnecessary noise: Braking or Acceleration may not be unecessarily made so as to cause a harsh or objectionable noise. 8)

This is what I was looking for, but it doesn't apply to motorcycles:

29-A Section 1912, Mufflers;

well they say you can apply for one..

and that's usually as far as it goes... applying. the state issues very few "race" permits.

I understand that people get irritated with loud exhausts at night but it seems like everyone hear is prejudice against loud bikes. I have an 05 Harley which is pretty loud. I don't gun it late at night and I'm not one of those people who have to romp on it all the time. I also have an 03 wrx that is pretty loud. What I gather is that some would rather hear a Honda Civic with a VIP fart cannon that sounds like an air plane, then the sweet rumble of v twin engine? There is a limit, I won't deny that, but the trademark of Harley's is the sound they put off. Sorry if I get defensive, but can't you have the best of both worlds??
