it's going to be a sad day at my place

So there is a sale pending on my Rex. As of tomorrow it may *knock on wood* be sold.

I did a little work on it the day before last, new strut, endlinks, ball joint and TPS. I took it out for a shake down run and noticed that the BOV seemed to be leaking a little air after about 7lbs of boost and so i brought it back in to fix that. I noticed that silly me forgot to tighten an intercooler hose clamp down actually! lol So I tightened that and took it back out. It handles and goes GREAT now. I took it in for a new sticker today and it passed with flying colors. The only problem is that because I'm in a small down the mechanics kept trying to get me to rev it up and ''show them what it can do'' in the parking lot.

I rode down to work today (about 50 miles to and from work) and boy oh boy she goes good now. The suspension is back to where it used to be and it runs just as smooth and no issues. *sigh* I hope he takes as good of care of her as I have. If not, then there might be some bugeye parts for sale on here! LMAO oh well. I will end up getting another one later one. Probably one with a blown motor or something and do my dream swap: H-6 turbo, 6-speed. ohhhhhh I think I just drooled on myself a little.

Anybody on here?

I will let you know when (if) she sells. took me almost 3 f'n hours to find my damn title for it yesterday too... grrr I found my motorcycle title no prob, but since I have about 4 plastic totes worth of paperwork kicking around and I just moved, I had to dig. I made a mess btw.

So why are you selling the rex?

Dude I am with you. I built up H-6 with turbo and an STI's 6 speed. Hell the whole driveline from an sti with the H-6. That would be Balls Tango!

Perrin and PDX tuning did one for SEMA 06 and PDX mechanic Chris did that to his 02 wrx too. they are both sick... If i remember right, it only adds 50 pounds and it was running 450 hp with 10-ish lbs of boost... something sick like that. and that was while breaking it in.

BUT the car is sold. and I want a truck. I will buy another one later on. i had WAY too much fun with mine to not want another one.

The Perrin car was seriously cool, here's the videos:

I second Mark's question. Anyone in the Mainely family?

oops SEMA 05 and 16 lbs of boost but everything else I said was correct lol.

I WILL do that eventually. but it would cost $10k< to do that to something that didn't have the STI drivetrain in it. I priced it up as if I was to get most the stuff on the cheap and it was around 10. Full STI drive train, used H6, forged parts from Perrin to rebuild it, Hydra, intercooler, turbo, and WAY too much fun. a DD with 450+ hp.... woohoo! lol

ALSO Nicklepage1010 is who got the car. I forgot to tell him what the remote switch next to the fog light button does. It's for the UTEC dude. look it up on turboxs.com. there is different settings and it'd be good to read up on it before plugging it back in. Now that the stupid TPS has been replaced everything should be fine.

I love the new subaru man, i hate getting out of it. I gotta get that coil fixed though, i got stomped by a bone stock mustang gt =(

I'm ashamed that it went man. when you took the keys, it was running beautifully. I'm sure you got after it some to see that I am telling the truth about that. I wouldn't sell it if it wasn't running right. I don't know if you ever get in the Lewiston area but it might be worth your while to get one from evergreen. they give a discount to all Mainely members.

oh yeah, i left the armor all wipes in the back to make up for not vacuuming it out and the filter in the back seat (I would have changed the oil but my old man used the oil i bought when i got ready to change it)

haha it ran awesome when i got it! i actually contemplated sleeping in it that night!

i may have to take those coil packs off your hands if that is the diagnosis.
