Only a couple of problems. The 500watt fan of death just melted its 40amp relay, so I'm going to try and get a bigger one before next weekend or we'll have to push it up the start grid, hehe.

The headgasket also just got a lot worse...so it's a wee bit smokey.

Welp, the Audi guys tell me I should use a 70amp relay with the RS2 fan. So once I pick one up, one problem should be solved.

I think we started with a 40 amp because it was turning out to be quite difficult to find a 70amp relay, never mind that the VW ones at NAPA were a bit pricy...

Good news! The 500w RS2 Fan of Death is working again thanks to a certain merchant marine chief engineer who made the mistake of stopping by my house...

This also means that I havn't finished respraying the car...so it is still ugly. At least we're not going to have to push it around!
