Congrats man!!

Congrats Jim. I'm sure it's long in coming, but I'm glad you got there. I know you've been there for a bit...

And regarding this...

Plumping...
Does one actually need training for that? I've done it well without OTJ training.

being a licensed plumbing and heating contractor, I always like hearing about people who have the opportunity to be trained by professionals. These are trades that training and commitment will pay off. that's right, anyone can do it. But, doing it right and by the codes is a different story. Can your work be serviced in the future? Do you have to turn the water and heat off in the entire house to fix something? Etc,etc,etc.......

Congrats on your new adventure. Any questions, give a shout.

right word popped into my head..

you're learning a 'portable' skill... you can take that anywhere and find work and that is always a good thing. ;D

Job on hold

The company did not follow proper protocol. They took down the job posting prematurely not allowing a senior employee the chance to test for the job. The kicker is I'm the shop steward who had to correct this mistake and possibly loose the job if the senior employee passes the entrance test. My stomach is full of butterfllies. THIS SUCKS SO BAD

Oh man.

want me to bust his legs?

Maybe the guy will get all hammered the night before and fail the test. Maybe you need to take hime to platinum plus. >
