K&N drop in filter...

Is it just me or does that smooth things out nicely on the 3G?

I'm usually pretty hesitant to say "Holy Sh!t!!! I put in a new this that or the other thing and now my car makes a lot more power".

With that said I can't believe how much smoother the acceleration is.

Anyone else notice that?

like i said in your post before when i put myne in monday i saw a huge difference in drivability. seems to pull nice and hard all the way through the rev band now i love it and dont have the tune yet

I remember reading that, and no offense but I thought "yeah, sure". Hmmm, well, turns out I agree with you 100%. I really can't believe the difference.

Anyone else?

I've always had a K&N drop in on mine. It flows much better then the stock panel. Hence smoother acceleration

oh geez thanks for the vote of confidence

that was the first thing I changed on mine. definitely noticed a throttle response difference. power etc.. stayed the same, but the throttle seemed to be less "laggy"

the stock air filter has some crap in it to quite the intake down a ton.

i don't have a turbo like yalzzz

, but I put the K&N drop in my 07 2.5i and I did notice a slight gain in mpg's with a smidge of a change in acceleration, smoother yes, harder no

Definitely helps in the MPG department too
