Know any good camping sites?

I'm looking for public land to camp on, for free, preferably on a nice lake. It's hard to google that stuff so I'm asking around.

State parks are cheap and great places to camp. Lily Bay is one of my favorite up in Moosehead. Bigelow Reserve is nice too.

so dood...google Maine Parks and Lands.....there are hundreds of free campsites from Kittery to Calais, from Freeport to Fort Kent maintained by Maine Dept Parks n Lands....choose yer fave. OK so maybe you have to pay a few bux but u won't be sorry.

Round Barn on Flagstaff lake in Stratton is a sweet place to camp, and free lots of hiking and great views

Man, I have to go camping again with my homies, its been too long. Nothing like a late night of cards with an early morning of canoeing and kayaking.

I can't wait to get out camping this summer! I had an epic camping trip last summer ... 4 of us went out for a week with everything we needed all crammed in and on top of my legacy! hahaha

I can't wait to get back to my southern maine base so I can start doing hiking and camping trips this summer. I'll hopefully be buying a nice DSLR and hiking out to some waterfalls.
