I am 100 percent goign even if i cant get anyone to come but would love atleast a few other people to join always makes it more fun. so please let me know asap if you are interested.

there are also places to stop and cook out or take a small hike and look at waterfalls etc so we can make a nice dayout of it

here is the route its suppost to be a great drive

oh and craig ill be coming right through dixfield on my way to the drive hint hint!!!! you know you want to take your car out on a nice sunny day

that is one super schweet stretch of road, one of the nicest in Maine.

(inserts required Sand Ppl content here) it's also part of the route the NEFR race cars transited (ie limped home) from Oquossuc area up by Rangely Lakes back to sunday river. so watch for exotic fallen-off bits of STI or GTI along the shoulders. I know the LDR car blew a whole lot of Motul smoke into the weeds along there!

have fun, be safe, there's lots of motorcycle and camper-trailer traffic on weekends up there.

oh BTW rt 156/142N heading north out of Wilton is a great road, its smooth almost all the way and older stuff is still just not perfect like most of it. There are a lot of nice corners, elevation changes, and the views are amazing. Plus it puts you back on rt4 about 20min south of Rangley

lol thanks for the tip king of sand people lmao!! i will make sure to look for spare parts ont he side of the road

OH OH... That's it K-man threaten me with a good time.....

that's the road through Grafton Notch state park? Screw Auger fall, The Moose Cave, etc, etc? If U follw that into NH U hit some nasty bumpy roads (at least for me) and some crazeee turns... some of the straights near Akers pond..Also there is 5-6 miles of NEW PAVEMENT up and over Dixville notch...(insert drooling sounds here).....

For U sand folk...... I think it is Popple damm road or something...I wanna say popcicle cause Id like one right now.... I have been down that in my 4runner and come out on "east B hill" that will either take U back to Rte 26 (the road in question) or to the North andover annex or something.....

HAHAHA... U may have threatend the wrong piggy right here. The 5 and 10 yer olds are gone... just me the wife and my 16 year old.....(U still hearing those drooling sounds?)...

Now maybe if U guys told me the score and said U were meeting somewhere near here and leaving...MY HOUSE TO JUMP IN THE POOL... I could force the issue on the homefront. No promises... let's just say it is bad monthly timing right now and for some dumb reason my wife and daughter run the timing for this crap...Imay just get my head snapped off...

meh...leave my typos alone... Im all giddy at the potential of a drive!

ps: If a sand people come with us ( providing I live that long) I MUST have a deathride down the dirt road I mentioned... pleasy please please please?

i dont know the road so it would take a bit to get used to it, difference between dirt and tar is the inconsistency from day to day you dont go for it on a road you haven't reconed once or twice already.

Back on topic, i would come with you if i wasnt already heading to p-town to put the motor back in my vee so i can race it on sunday. Next time you guys do this ill deffently be in, i know quite a few fun roads around here

come on deeni i have to buzz right by your house to get to the there i can stop in you throw the ladies in the car with a few air sick bags wich im sure they will need and we can head out. you know you will love pulling away from me and who couldn't use a boost to there ego?

It is actually a very nicely groomed road that is used for logging trucks on occasion although I think there is more pickups down it at this point. I think U would B pleasantly surprised the first time down it, so much U may just turn around and blast it the other way.

<-has already talked to the woman and it may B a go...Saturday is much better for us BTW as kids return sometime on Sunday. We are actually planning a jaunt into civilization today to get the kids "back to school" supply list banged out.

May just take the Sti out in the rain and let mother nature wash off the dirt mother nature put on it...And maybe a couple insects out of the FMIC.

What day were U thinking would werk better for U Saturday or Sunday?

**** i wanna go!
wait theres sand people, and street people...im more of a mud guy, does that make me sandy?
well if you def want to come let me know we cna figure out a meeting point

Like i said either day works great for me so tommorow would be fine by me. one of the two days i have to paint my dinning room so if saturday works better lets do it then But no dirt roads!!!! lol

Saturday it is for me...

<---hopes it werx for U

Now lets take up three pages of posts to determine the time.. IMHO daytime is much better. As it gets later the moose to come out all along that road in a big way, this in turns causes traffic patterns to slow down as people take pictures. I also have a very healthy respect for NOT wanting one to make my car and neck a convertible.

Sunday we must retreive said offspring from northern VT in said 4runner.

Nickel... Ihave no idea where Corinna is but IMHO UR certaonly welcome to join usor even park in my place and hop in my car as there will B an extra spot..

i agree day time is better especially on a raod liek that gives us good views and opportunity's for spontaneous photo shoots ( i need some good picstures of my car).

it takes me 50 minutes to get to dixfield so do you wanna say meet at your place at 10:30? or do you wanan go a bit later? im honestly up for what ever works for your and the ladies

with big brown eyes and sad looks my daughter acknowledged the fact she will B prepared for a 10:30 am guest...hahahaha. The wife also said it was kewl.

10:30 it is at my place...we should B ready to go shortly thereafter if we are not already. We shiuld B able to find some great spots and lighting to get some pictures.

the only thing that would I could see causing a time change is the arrival of any other MSers at a potentially later time.

ok sounds good. as far as other ms guys dosent seem like they are to anxious to join us. or maybe we are just forum whores and haven't given them enough time yet lol

do you want to pm me your adress and phone number again so i can google map it?

just remember that the map lies and his house is really up the hill to the right some more... instead of straight into that dead end

Route 26 is fun. I took that to day 2 NEFR. It's a good road. Watch out for cops on there though.... ask me how I know. At one point theres a few houses and it drops from like 50 to 35mph.

I also enjoyed route 16 north from Errol NH. Once you cross the Maine line into NH the road is fresh new pavement. It's also twistier than 26.

I'd come but I've got to work.
