We're you able to get a night shot? If you have the ability to turn the exposure way down, that will work pretty good. That's how I got a pic of my halos.

Using a iPhone I've tried take night pics but too bright lol

There are apps that you can control exposure with. Also if you touch the bright spot in the native camera app it will adjust the exposure as well.
