locked my keys in my car...

YARRR SUBY MONSTER!!
So yesterday I was at Pemaquid lighthouse. I was just going down for a walk on the rocks. Get out of my car, lock the doors, and close it up. The second I heard the door "click" a massive "*&$`&$%`*#&%" ensued. I locked my keys, wallet, and cell phone in my car. Go to the gift shop... no metal cloths hangers ... LAME. So I ended up going for a run 2.5mi to new harbor. Got a cloths hanger from Hannas. and ran all the way back.

HAHA that made me feel like an ultimate idiot.

And I didn't even try hitch hiking... nobody is going to pick someone up who has a week and a half of beard, long hair, wearing painty cloths and covered in paint from spending all morning painting a house, and no shoes. Ultimate hippie look... so I just enjoyed the run.

Now I'm thinking of getting one of those magnetic things so I can hide a key under my car somewhere...

I don't usually lock my doors, it is just that I was at one of the bigger tourist attractions around. I'd say 90% of the plates were out of state, and I had my camera, PDA, cell phone, and wallet in my car.

And my ipod too which installed as part of my audio system. I think I also had a few laptops and maybe a desktop or 2 in the trunk. I ALWAY have computers in my car. It is my business.

Generally I have more equipment in my car than the car is worth.

I don't leave things in direct sunlight. But I have never had a problem.

 
I used to lock my keys in the car all the time, after having to call AAA three times I had had enough. I made a spare and left it in my wallet, since my wallet NEVER leaves my pantaloons.

I have a spare in my wallet too.

But in the summer I do a lot of sailing, swimming, etc. So I leave it locked up in my car.

yup, same here.. i keep it right in my wallet.. never had a spare until i locked myself out of the car when i was cleanin 3 ft of snow off.. at least i was playing some good music so i enjoyed the wait for help

newer cars and keyfobs ftw! I always lock everything with the fob.

I only did it once in high school when I worked at a boatyard after school, they made you leave keys in your car incase they needed to move it to move a boat. after that I made them chase me down if they wanted it moved!

then there is the advantage of being a girl and carrying a bag. spare set for everything we own in that thing!
