looking for first subie

A buddy of mine wants to make the jump from audi to subie. He wants a 2 door and only want to spend like 1 to 2 thousand. I told him I doubted he could, but figured I'd post the want link up here. If anyone has any leads or anything they want to sell reply or pm.

might not be his style, but i know someone with a white 96 leggy wagon for $1300. has new/used motor just put in it, full tuneup, new plugs and wires, new front brakes brakes, buffed out headlights, and for a little more he might be able to get you 4 new tires. hes the mechanic and did all the work himself. i painted the roof racks and wiper arms. i took a ride in it runs like a top and the motor is quieter then my car. A+ car for a someone. not 100% the prettiest up close but 10 ft away it looks great! would make a reliable AWD car for someone cheap.

 
He's looking for a 2 door GC, probably not RS as he only wants to spend $2k on the car right now. Plans to get an STi swap done eventually. If there are any, non-rusty, 2.2Ls, preferably 97+ for around 2k, he'll probably take it.

 
good luck with that... if I find one I am buying it. I have been waiting to find a clean one in black/white/dark blue for years to swap and haven't yet

 
i know it's an auto, but lobstah's brighton has been for sale for like 800 bucks for awhile. it's a 2 door GC brighton. i guess it depends on how deep he wants the swap to run.

I think Lobstah's car is the right one for your buddy. But if you want to talk to me about my 2000 RS coupe, it is a little more than he is willing to spend.
