Looking to upgrade coilovers

DIRTY JBP

dirty boostin :D
So, I bought my car with coilovers, absolute crap ones at that, I'm not gonna mention a brand, because it makes me throw up a little, but you all get the drift. So I want to go with a coilover that is a little more DD dependable. What would you all suggest? I've got a little bit of money to blow, so I wanna go with a proven set of coilovers, no junk like I have on their now. I am also looking for endlinks and some heavier sway bars along with a 3" downpipe and midpipe. Let me know if any of you have anything laying around and maybe we can work something out.

Unless you're paying 2k+ any coilover you get is going to be sub par that a cheaper set of struts and springs can out perform. It's not a popular oppinion, but when people who work on time attack cars say it, it holds some weight.... The nasioc WBM showcar crowd may say otherwise, but they're wrong.

And for brand of your current coil overs, let me guess, raceland?

Idk how good they are on a subaru, but a buddy had tein coil overs on his tc and they were great

I had Tien HAs on my Legacy(Sooch has them now), they functioned perfectly but were alittle too soft for me. That might be a plus for some people, but if you want to go lower and not rub, you need stiffer coils.

for the day and a half my car was running, I loved the teins, I highly suggest them. Also like Dan said, a set of newer springs and struts are just as good especially here in maine. if anything get some sti pink springs and kyb agx's or whatever. those can be had for half the price of some of decent coilovers.

I have some BC's on my car right now and love them. Lasted way longer than any set of cheap ones that I have gotten in the past. I would recommend those if your gonna stick to the coil overs.

The bilstein units always get rave reviews. A little on the spendy side. But I believe they are rebuildable.

Yes... freakin Raceland... They will be burned the day they are taken off. I am leaning towards BC Racing BR series coilovers atm, I have heard good reviews and the price isn't quite as nasty as say the TiC's and KW Variants, although I'd love to have them. I will be ordering them as soon as I get home and hope to have them on by the Annual Meet, and hopefully I can give some good reviews as well. I am still looking for some stiffer sway bars and endlinks though, anyone got any used ones or recommend a specific brand? I always like to hear what has worked well for you all. Thanks for the help, it's appreciated!

Thanks Jason, just the info I am looking for! I like to hear it first hand, damn Nasioc isn't worth a damn, everyone and their sister has a different opinion, haha.

I've had my Cusco adjustable rear swaybar since I bought the car in 2005...I love it. I also have the Kartboy Endlinks and love them. I had Perrin Endlinks with sealed bearings, and they lasted about a year before they started clunking, but that was years ago now.
