loyale rear bumper

This thread can be deleted or scrap piled. I cannot find a bumper. there is only 1.2 million in the united states...and anew parts inventory still in existence. My internet is like a childs playpen... anyhoo..

For those with a banged up bumper in the classic realm, I did learn that they are custom fitted, and by oem parts list do not come as one piece, not even the brackets are connected, the body person builds it just for the car. It must have been for manufacture reasons of less than perfect body mount for bumpers, (as I have found)

I need to drill four holes for a hitch made just for this sube, so dismantling and banging and welding to my own is the route to go. thanks for responses

Try a junk yard or posting a want ad on Craigslist. And yes Loyale bumpers and EA82 GL bumpers are the same. Except the GL bumpers have color matched on half

I have done both of these things. I wouldn't mind finding a 1985 bumper, at least the cover, a rare sight. To think I have given these cars way...

beware fat short blonde with buck teeth in a pt cruiser.. she may be a suby hater. It is ok to assume she is a terrible driver, I also assumed she was some kind of "butch". The attitude was simply ridiculous.

still seeking bumper. have other old sube parts to swap.

I am guessing there is at least one other person aside from myself with the subaru that is going to run forever..without a market place.

my next step is to smash the old one around and weld.

As we all know, the car has to look perfect for inspectors who lost the toughest american thing they have owned 15 years before this old jap ricer never died. I am self conscious about the bumper not looking absolutely perfect. I ignore the daily bent pickups seen daily that should have been retired. Maybe I could put a chevy sticker on the sube...
