I simply search for subaru stuff and find the darndest things.

This is a modern legacy with a LS1 chevy.

the same spins and drifting mayhem looking and soundng effortless to half the rpms and no turbo.

From what I have gathered , all 3 needed no firewall hacking.

Holy crap...

The weight and center of gravity advantages of the H4 go out the window, but that would be so mean on the highway...

The LSx family of motors are amazing.

Some folks are probably going to get uppity about hurr hurr american v8's, but seriously, these motors are damn good and get swapped into everything. I understand why some might not like a different companies motor in their beloved car, that I can understand, but saying these motors suck is absolutely crazy.

Also nate, on the weight thing, here's some food for thought. In the rx7, if you swap out the turbo rotary for the ls1, and there is ZERO difference in weight distribution. Depending on accessories, you can maintain a 50/50 weight balance in them. The ls1 Small block aluminum v8 that weighs about 385 to 450 pounds depending on oil + accessories. Just because it's a v8 doesn't mean it is a boat anchor.

i think ls1 is pretty universally known as being a great engine. they use it in so many super car applications its ridiculous
