Mail-in rebates are a scam!!
here goes my rant, lets see if i feel any better afterward....
well, last night i figured i'd clean up a little bit of paperwork that had been sitting on my desk...anyways i found two rebates: 1 for contacts that was $100 and another for a cell phone that was $50...they have been sitting around for a while and it would sure be nice to collect the money that is owed to me
anyways, i called up cingular and they said that i "forgot to enter my phone model on the form." yeah right, i'm not an idiot! anways, she said she'd fix it and my rebate would be in the mail....im pretty sure she was lying just to get me off the phone, but we'll see
the second phone call i made was for the contacts...here they said that i didn't send in the UPC labels from the boxes...again accusing me of being an idiot! anyways i probably am because i didnt make a copy of them before i sent them out but it pisses me off that these people can be so shady! there is no way around these rebates as they are on EVERYTHING! guess i am going to make a copy of everything before i send anything out again...because it takes so long, i normally would have forgotten about it, which must be a major component of their scam!
