upon the internet, I got to prove a few things I knew was happening.

Maine gets it like laser beam. A freak cold phenomona.

I have been using google earth to verify it. It is the same phenomona that attacks mt.washington, except, northern and central maine is a slow valley.

Right now in google earth, and looking at world weather stations...

fort kent is 10 degrees colder than the most northern point in alaska.

bangor? only 3 degrees colder. If to look at the map, it is climbing in from west of baffin bay, the east of baffin bay is greenland. the only other place with a thermometer colder, is thule air force base, it is at 17F right at this moment. We will only be off by less than 10 degrees by morning...straight from the freakin north pole. Minnesota. I'd be wearing shorts in january, its the tropics.

I want this written. I want minnesota to sit down with there phony "cold spot of the nation" awards put the "big brag flag" down, and let maine reign as the the champion.

It is in fact THE cold spot of the nation, regardless of sprites taking the big dip below...

And if BIA does not change that thermometer reporting to NWS, off by an average 8 degrees warmer, I am going to contact NWS myself and setup a real station, with real integrity.

I can't wait to hear what they have to tell you about this.

I believe it, I think last year or the year before one of the coldest temps around was recorded in northwestern Maine like T11-something, just a number no town name
