I got to meet the owner of Cometic gaskets this week. His company owns our machines and we are releasing some new machines so had to set up the machine I am in charge of.

Guy was awsome. He is around same age as me about 27. His dad started the company. He said he is going to send me a set of head gaskets for the STI.

Next week we are introducing the machine at Magnaflow exhaust in Cali so I have to fly out there. I am going to see if I can get the hook up on another exhaust for the Subie.

Connections are a wonderful thing. I have a lot of connections in the computer world and great things come of it.

Yes I cann't wait. I have been in this work for 3 years and have always wondered. Where are all the tuner parts manufactors that have to own our equipment. It is funny they all hit at one time. I just hope I can get a exhaust for free.

Nice thing I am first class all the way to Cali and back. Have to love being Platinum med. with Delta.

I work for Trumpf. We are a german company that makes the worlds best Laser cutting machines, punch presses, and pressbrakes. that is our biggest market.

[/url]This is one of our machines. It is at one of our customers. The machine has a 3000kilowatt laser. You can really see the speed of the laser. Can cut about 3/4 inch steel plate. We make the worlds most powerful Industral laser for metal cutting which is a 8000 kilowatt. Can cut about 1 1/2 steel and almost 1 inch or alum. Believe it or not the alum is harder to cut.

sorry, left over internet grammar.

I want a laser cutter for doing acrylic (and some metal) cutting. I don't even have a table saw, and straight cuts are real hard with a jigsaw and a dremel.

Yea I believe you can cut acrylic with our machines but most of everyone cuts diffrent metal: Alum., TI, SS, and CR.

The softer the metal the harder it is to cut with a laser. The higher the Carbon content of metal the better. That is way very high quiality Cold rolled or any high carbon metal can be cut in thicker sizes unlike the Alum which is limited to like 3/4 of an inch on a "Big" power output laser.

LOL, our lasers arne't ones you want to put in your standard garage. One it want fit. Two, our cheapest one is about $600,000.

we are coming out with a cheaper laser. Everyone wants a Trumpf but cannt afford it so we are makeing a "Base" model you can buy. It is a Coaxial laser rated at 2000k. Beam focus is good so it can cut like a 3000k truflow laser.

It is listed for $350,000 no automation though.

There's no way to hook it up to a computer to use CAD? Lame

.

Are there any lasers that can be run off of a standard 15A line/fuse? I think 1800w is the maximum power they can do.

Most of everyone uses cad cam to draw there product. Trumpf makes our own called TruTops 100. It is a Cad program for our lasers.

Nope, 15 amps. LOL. the machine wouldn't even turn on with that. Our smallest laser which is this new one coming out requires like

140 amps.

lol, $1k yea it will sell for much more than that. That or $1k is the down payment. I have seen good working older lasers for use lets say 5 years old sell for like $300k. Depends on the output of the laser and condition it is in.
