Well, not exactly a collision.... but a THUMP.

So teh wife was driving to work this morning in the Fozz and a suicidal (?) raccoon decided to end it all or someting by throwing itself under a passing by Subaru, which happened to be the Fozz

THUMP

Not 3 min later it throws P0301 and P0302. Misfires on #1 and #2....

Could that be caused by a sudden bump and should i be worried about it?

I bet the racoon grabed on, swung up into the engine and started chewing wires. Then when she stopped, he slinked of into the shadows.

Never heard of that one though. The only way I see it could have happened is if you have some loose wires.

Well, codes cleared, i'll see if they come back... But it is pretty weird coincidence that CELs came right after hitting the poor critter....

Could the raccoon have gotten caught up in the 02 sensor/wires??

And would that cause those codes?

codes, schmodes.

there IS no code for "Wife Running Over Suicidal Raccoon"

wtf knows what the misfire codes were due to...maybe scooby sympathy for masked garbage raiders?

I recently had a little under-dash BBQ due to goofing up driving light wiring...so after the new Hella wires smoked, flamed, and got blown out...the damn car throws a code for a problem with the heater! no discernable damage under the dash, canceled the code and it ain't come back

so there. that oughta explain your plobrem! :drunken_smilie:
