mmm .. downpipe

So we just installed my Cobb catted downpipe and I can tell the difference :angel12:

I can't wait to get a tune ...

That is all.

Thanks to Lobstah for the help and garage space to swap them out! :headbang:

I have a couple of questions for those with downpipe experience.

First, am I supposed to hear the turbo through the exhaust? I hope so, cause I like it :evil1: I just want to make sure I don't have a leak or something ...

Also, I have a catted pipe, but I'm still getting a CEL. I don't know exactly what the code is yet, but I never had one before, but I've had 2 since I put this on Saturday.

Any suggestions?

Stop by we'll pull the codes....

sure you connnnected all the vac lines? ECU reset?

man i neeeeeed to get my up and down pipes on, i am jonesing for mo powah,

is it a job that's easily done on the ground? or best served with a lift? tis cold this time of year up here in northern maine to be in the elements,

yeah its more like central maine but most people in southern maine think anything above augusta is Canada.

It's not? :thebirdman:

Gabe said the uppipe was kinda a pain, so that was already done for me ... the dowpipe Lobstah and I (mostly Lobstah), did in a few hours ... only because we had to run to the store for an 02 sensor socket.

My boost gauge is reading fine, so I think the vac lines are all set. You tightened everything you were putting back together, right? I don't think it's the BOV because it did it halfway home from Boston at cruising speeds.

I'm loving it :evil1:

I think i tightened everything good

To all the techie turbo folks: DP to Turbo torque is 26/ft.lb, and O2 is 15.2/ft.lb, right?

I'll be picking up O2 sensor socket soon, so no more trips to the parts store

Hey I've done 4 dp and 3 up! Its a blast. The up isn't too bad just lots of tight spaces. Let me know if you need a hand.

i also have an oil leak somewhere near the turbo too, it would be advantageous to fix that while im in there. zip tie or two...maybe some duct tape.

Downpipes are super easy. I just used an open ended wrench on the O2 no need for a special socket.

And you need a tune ASAP...i dont even install parts unless i've got an off the shelf tune ready to rock ;-)
