idk if anyones been following my project

but fresh out of high school i bought my 2002 wrx

someone had blown the heads, tore the motor out then ran out of money

sold me a rolling chassis and a PILE of parts

got it running yesterday (yippie)

i have 3 more concerns

1) rear seal on my tranny is just about gone. im gunna run it for a little while atleast. what kind of tranny fluid do i need?

2) how much cooling does this system usually take? i have about a gallon and a half in it now, seems like it should need more, but its maxed out, am i full or do i just have a huge air bubble some where?

3) very annoying sound from my power steering. lots of foam in my resivour tank. clearly i have air in the system. i let the foam settle. top the tank off. then it just foams up again. the sound doesn't go away. do i just continue this cycle till it stops or is there an easier way?

Auto or 5spd? Manual - 75w90 (go Motul), auto - regular dexron

1.5-1 3/4 gallons

find a leak/bleed the system, dunno

1. I order motul from rallispec, http://www.rallispec.com/ not cheap, i'll let someone else recommend something for less $$. also assuming its a 5sp.

2. yeah pretty sure it's more then that. a google search can tell you the exact capacity. But run it and let it get hot so the t-stat opens. the coolant level will drop when that happens.

3. Guess you have to keep working the wheel back and fourth to "burp" the system. Sounds like it's low on fluid, keep working it and be patient, also watch for leaks.
