Actually, the Amazon now belongs to Duncan, our crew chief. It's in pieces awaiting a roll cage and motor rebuild (2-liter conversion w/sidedraft Webers) because the old motor blew up for some reason....not long after the rallyX photo above from Team O'Neil a couple years back.
The old photo shows why you need to steer Amazons with the throttle, cause they like to understeer a bit.

that was the infamous Union MudCross. what the old Amazon really needed there was some LSD. One wheel drive in the country-fair-infield goop wan't cutting it...poor xena needed to be pushed from the field of battle by intrepid corner workers (who got dooshed with mud and worse for their help) :
