My next silly project

The Audi is nearing completion...ish. By this summer, I hope to have finished the rallycross beater. That leaves room for a new project...

Group 2 944. Why?...because nobody else is doing it. Heh heh heh. Once the Audi is done...I shall start shopping...unless I find one I like before then.

Little bit more...dirt involved, with a taller stance, and some nice gravel struts, and lots of skidplating.

one issue with 944 for rallying....that long nose is awful hard to see over when you're launching off blind crests.

one of my British classic car mags has a story about a home-built 944 rally car, will try to dig it up for ya

Porsche ran 924 Carreras and the early 944s in tarmac rallies a fair bit, but sports car racing (ie 962s n 935s) used up most of the Zuffenhausen's $$$ and focus in the 80s.

Ty, what's your budget, I was shoppng 944s in the $4k range until I found my SVT Focus instead. Got some great contacts, esp a wicked nice 85 silver 944 in MA with Fuchs wheels, fresh water pump and timing belt, clutch, etc etc. Guy is asking $4500/ PM me for details.
