NEED CV SHAFT HELP!!!!

So im in the process of putting a 91 legacy turbo VLSD from a 5spd into my OBS. I need one cv shaft, but every parts store I go to has the "same" wrong one for a 91 legacy!!!

Its the right style as it slides onto the spline coming out of the diff, but its far to big and slips over the teeth on the diff.

also the side that goes into the hub is bigger and different. whats going on here? This is the diff I got from Bratman and I trust him that's its from a 91 legacy, but something is wrong somewhere. Any thing you anyone else has run into? HELP ME OUT!!!

Get in touch with Mikey. I know for a fact that he said they are 90-94 Legacy rear axles. Not really sure what they would be giving you.

this is a classic instance of a well known rule here on MS..."Subies are like Legos, 'cept when they're not!"

take the axle that does fit to the parts store. compare it to what they "say" will fit. this will save you both lots o hassle.

also it's quite likely that the limited slip diff requires different axles than a normal 91 Leggy, you may have to spec that it's from a 91 Leggy Turbo or some such.

I Told all 3 parts stores it was a LSD from a first gen legacy turbo 5spd, and they said that their computers call for the same axel for all legacys of the 90-94 year range

I compared it to what they said fit and its not really close to fitting. Ill get in touch with mikey and see what he has to say about it too, maybe he will even have one around...

It is not LSD specific on those. Should be any 90-94 Legacy rear cv shaft should work from what I understand.

This. Also turbo drivetrain probly had beefy splines and such. Try dealer? Call evergreen?
