Need Exhaust Help - FFFFUUUUUUUU...

so went to install the n1 tonight. long story short the resonator is too close to the driveshaft and it bangs on it so my car is now in a parking lot in yarmouth at rob's place.

this is apparently a known issue with the n1 street because of the resonator. some people have fixed it completely by lowering the downpipe on the hanger it has which is apparently adjustable. of course i could not check this because it was dark and i needed access to a computer. can anyone try to visually explain how i adjust this and if they think this can solve it completely? keep in mind it's a constant rapping on the resonator, not just when i hit bumps

more than likely i'll need XL hangers (2) for the front two hanger spots on the exhaust. anyone happen to have any KB XL hangers kicking around or waiting for install? i'll gladly order 2 brand new ones in exchange for yours!

so after doing a bit more reading, it looks like the placement of the downpipe on the bracket could be what's holding me up. the fit of the perrin catback was always crap but i really blamed it on that. apparently that bracket will have more affect on the way that midpipe section fits than any of the exhaust hangers. i need to move that end of the exhaust (downpipe to midpipe) down and to the pass. side of the car. apparently i can either take off that bracket or mess with how it sits on there. anyone know more about this that might be able to help me? most especially someone that can help me saturday in yarmouth?

i can probably help where in yarmouth is it

i'm good at making thing work that aren't suppose to work

If you still need them, I have three KB long hangers that I can hook you up with.

....if I can find them.....

when you available saturday gabe?

apollyon i'm gonna try and make it work as is first with the downpipe bracket and possibly a hammer...

otherwise i'll be quick to let you know, i may very well need those

I'm in Yarmouth also...I don't know much, but I can pass tools with the best of 'em

...Just ask my father, as it's STILL the role I play when doing projects with him, hehe.

Free literally all day on Saturday, although I will be trying to sneak a Bradbury ride in at some point, given cooperative weather.

.Well, basically I can watch and soak up info.
That's what I used to do ... I try not to but I still tend to end up doing that when working on cars ... it's not my fault if everyone else does everything and I have nothing left to do?!

yeah, this is kind of a ninja effort since it's at rsalomone's (rob's) apt complex in yarmouth. next time i have a simple mod go awry i'll make sure it's better for more people to show. hopefully gabe can rig up some solution.

first time i've made it on here since lobstah was able to bail me out. thanks to a custom lobstah built...uh...exhaust brace? the n1 is on and running perfectly. thanks again for making it out the ol' yarmouth way to bail me out!
