hey guys my 2002 WRX has been looking sort of bland lately...

any ideas? id like to do mostly cheap DIY stuff

color match side skirts and marker lights, maybe paint the wheels white or black.

i really want to paint the reflectors in the headlights either white or black

maybe an aftermarket mesh-like grille

any ideas/opinions?

smoke tails. get limited front lip. go wingless if you haven't already. badgeless front and rear. get clear front reflectors. color match skirts.

white wheels

paint the skirts, fog light buckets, scoop liner, and grill gloss white.

pull the front badge, sand off the black color, apply white, re-apply badge.

tint

ooohhh inski. i like that a lot. what do you guys think for paint? i head NAPA can mix cans of aspen white if i bring them my VIN?

i was thinking that or white, if i make everything else white that would look cool
Do white to be different. Someone on Nasioc did white to their white blobeye (I think, maybe it was a hawkeye) and it looked really good.

I also think that you should make the badge something colorful, like your favorite color

yeah like white! haha. jk. that's a good idea though. maybe red with the stars. my engine bay is red too (intake manifold, battery tie down, intercooler lines)

yeah, red stars, that will be a nice jewel to off set the white. heh, we just put red stars on the fozzy.

Call Napa and see if they still make rattle cans in your color, you'll need your paint code. I did it with my Ford truck a few years ago. Had them make me 3 cans of my specific color, and I rattle canned my nerf bars, brush bar-tube bumper, and grill. Came out spectacular. I had add-ons on the truck but they all matched the color of the truck.

cool thanks inski.

any idea how many cans id need to do all of that? minus the rims i should get wheel paint for that correct? as well as clear coat and that stuff when it comes to that im sure theres a good thread kicking around nasioc

i think u need some RA UR mudflaps and hella supertones. maybe some HIDs and def tint I would say 30%sidefronts 15%siderear 20%banner/rear window

i just say lighter on the banner and back so u can see backing up at night and u can see stop lights through the banner in the daytime.

how about something less ricey than tinted heads n tails....like say, classic twin stripes, 8" wide with 2" gap between....looks awesome on white cars expecially

pic of dear departed Mee-Otter for example, these stripes came from local graphix place, black vinyl, about $150 for enough stripes to do 2 cars. stripes came already laid on backing, they were quite easy to put on meself.

cool thanks for the input guys. im definitely steering as far from ricer as possible. Wingless. going to paint match side skirts, side markers, fog light buckets. then finally wheels. take the headlight apart and paint the chrome lining to match the car, also pull of the orange cover for the blinker. so everything will be Aspen White. black window tint. Red rally armor flaps with the white lettering

White wheels are an awesome choice...I love mine. They look different from everyone elses' but aren't over the top...and its what the boys in the WRC do!
