Hi folks: Joined the site to get local advice on tuning garages, suspension setups, and driving events.

I run a black '02 rex with a tune from the now defunct F1Dyno with ~280HP and ~260 TQ @ the engine on an AWD dyno. Full exhaust, hi flow fuel pump, UTEC piggy back, 18 PSI, Green Stuff pads, short throw, K&N, OZ racing 17s. Car needs a suspension, and maybe a refresh on the tune. (knock light flickers now and then on WOT depending on gas in tank and if its a wednesday...and I'm getting too used to the power. Dreaming of a used RS4.).

I spent time in the SCCA Glen region in upstate NY and collected a regional autox championship, and a couple runner ups. Also ran in an SCDA event at Watkins Glen (some of the best $$ I've every spent, did cook the rotors). Kids came along and out went the motorsports for 8 years. Ran in an Audi event in NH last summer (the S5 and R8 are both nice rides...) Aiming for a NASA event back at the Glen in October this fall, but only if I rework the suspension first. Looking forward to ideas for suspensions that are function first, and form second (don't need a 3 inch drop that can't win autox events or set fast times on the track while driving to and from work day in and day out).

Looks like a strong forum. Nice job putting this community together.

Welcome Tom,

Quite the racing resume you have. Hopefully we can point you in the directions that you desire.

Hey Tom,

Welcome to the site ... we're always looking for new members with new information! Hope you find what you're looking for!

welcome! how did you find us?

we should be able to help you figure out all you need. we are all great at spending other peoples money.

Thanks Pedro, Tyler. Hope I didn't overblow my experience...there is always someone faster out there. I'll research past threads to see if I can find what I'm looking for before I ask too many nubie suspension Qs. I noticed on NASOIC a lot of new comers getting flamed for not doing their research.

Thanks Nate--looks like you did a pretty good job spending your own money.
