I live in the valley all the way in Northern Maine in a small town called Madawaska. I go to school at UMFK and am in the national guard. About three weeks ago I just bought my first Subaru which is a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX premium. I have been more than satisfied with the performance and style of the car. We have had a couple snow storms since I got it and even with summer tires I can still get around with the AWD. The turbo is one of ths craziest things I have ever seen. I've always been a WRX/STI fan but untill I got behind the wheel and felt the acceleration it has it didn't make any scence. I love the car so far and I plan on doing some mods eventually like exhaust, intake, and after my warranty is up the access port. I guess that's about it for now. I definitly love the ride and will be a Subaru ownder for years to come.

glad you made it Nate! I'm the guy who talked to you Thursday night at that house, glad you decided to join up, see ya around! don't forget to upload some pics!

Hey Ray I did make it to the boards. I'll have to talk to you again sometime because I'm interested in the accessport. I know its easy to hook up and stuff but I'd just like to see where it actually hooks up to and stuff. I also located myself on the "member map" so we have two people at the top of Maine now. Also, here are a couple pics of my new ride.

I remember seeing that car at the quirk in bangor, or same color/style, is that where you got yours?

and you said national guard? Air or army? there's a few of us including myself that are also guardsmen. If you're air, I'll probably see you next weekend!! I got a dark grey wrx hatch 09 with Loud loud loud exhaust.

Welcome Man, I have a 2009 WRX. That combination of engine & turbocharger creates a real beast of a car.

Yeah that's exactly where I picked the car up at "Quirks subaru" in bangor. I went in and saw it and fell inlove imideiatly. Two weeks later I went back to pick it up.

I am in the army national guard and I go to drill once a month in Caribou. This summer though I am planning on going to jun's tint and getting my car tinted up. Also, hopefully putting on a cobb exhaust so maybe while I'm down in the area I'll be able to meet some of you other subaru guys.

Did I see you on Rt. 2 in Farmington headed toward Farmington Falls over the weekend? If not, it was an Identical Twin to your car, looked brandy new. I probably looked like a Brown 2009 WRX... errr umm, a black WRX covered in mud and dust, lol.

Welcome to our little place called Maniac Suby.... no sorry Mainely Subarus. Look forward to more pics, mod lists and group drives.

Welcome! I worked in Madawaska for a short time. Dennis Voter still around?

if you are concerned with the warranty, then you shouldn't do the intake or exhaust either, since they require a tune which the accessport will provide. Just keep your stock parts, and if something comes up, swap the parts back, flash back to stock and you'll be good.

before you purchase any mods...I suggest ask and research before you just go out and buy them.

It will save you the headache in case you made a mistake.
