Power went off in SoPo (Broadway, Evans, Highland Ave area) about 15min ago. Weeee... and the mega wind isn't even here yet. wtf.

I'm good so far *crosses fingers*. It better not go out. The crock pot still has 4 hours left to go on the pork, mmmm. :icon_porc:

You have a house setting on your crock pot. That is a wicked pissah..... :laughing1: :laughing1:

mine was out for about 18 hours during the storm, but everything in the freezer made it ok...I didn't lose any deer meat..

No Powah? gimme a break. :thebirdman:

Just back from a couple xcellont days out at my cabin in Appleton. There was no powah...never has been, which was the whole idea when I built the place back in 1991..

Off the grid. Aaah, simplicity. Oil lamps. Outhouse. Wood stove. No STM (sorry lads). Very old tree stand for deer hunting, sadly not productive this year. Cold air, warm girlfriend, wet n tired happy spaniel after 4-hr hike. 17 ppl for turkey at my mom's place a half-mile back up the dirt road. Got to make the g/f and my sister scream at me sliding thru the "right 4 over crest" en route to the big din din... :angel12:

I love turkey day!

Hope youse allz had similar goodness.

My folks lost power for 36 hours, they were set to host the big din din anyways. We'd cook on the woodstove, haul water and get by somehow like the Pilgrims did.

:occasion14: to you nigel, for knowing its all about your company and not the power company. hope everyones turkey day was delicious. mine was...digiorno pizza (not a turkey fan). happy holidays
