Not exactly a break in, but close enough...

So they've been redoing and widening my road. They're at the, cut all the trees alongside the road phase of the operation. They gave us most of the wood from out property to split and use in the woodstove for heating (oil is bloody expensive).

So this morning when I left for work, I noticed a cruddy looking Blazer parked a little ways up the road with someone sitting in it...I didn't think anything of it.

Skip to comming home. A nice little chunk of wood is missing, and there are tire tracks on the lawn. :angry4:

Now if said Blazer was parked down the road tomorrow morning...what would you do? I'm probably going to leave, and come back 5 minutes later if he in there tomorrow... :boxing:

get plate number-> ask kindly not to take the wood-> Leace for 20 min-> call cops -> criminal tresspassing

oH NOES, it's starting.....

Better get working on that framed shotgun thingy

Shoot him/her, and you will not have to worry about the wood anymore, or oil for that matter. I believe prison covers that. :laughing1:

I would leave, wait 5-10 minutes, if you see him/her, call cops... Good luck and catching the Wood bandit..

No wood bandit today. Oh well. Back to work. (FYI: It is bloody hot outside today)
set up a webcam so you can see it from work..er.. are you working again?

Yup. Doing more or less the same thing I was doing, but with gas meters now. Working for On Target Utility services.

Sorry to hear of your theft....had it happen to me also. Makes you loose faith in human nature. :BangHead:.My home is surrounded with barbed wire,gate,3 [german]German shepherds, with various firearms throughout the home.Mostly to keep the deer out ,but it works on tourists and thievs also...There is a little remote game camera that can be set up to catch a thief or a fox.

UPDATE: A note to all you aspiring firewood bandits. When you come back for seconds...don't have a company vehicle with your name plastered on the side...Especially not a firewood company. :nono:

They sure did beat a hasty retreat when our neighbor confronted them taking the wood that had been left on her property.

sorry, that was me :tard:

haha, no really it wasn't, must have been one on my customers though ... they're all pretty bright :icon_scratch:

back in vermont a old neighbor of mine had this same problem. He eventually drilled out a log and put a quatrer stick of dynamite in there and plugged it back up. a few days later a guy up the road was shopping for a new wood stove and probably new pair of underpants.

Yikes!

:violent4:

:violent5:

:angry4:

All the above apply. That's enough to scare the raisin out of anyone!

damn. I would have taken pics, then put an add in the paper, advertising how he gets his wood. I bet sales would be wayyyyy down!
